A man who admitted to possessing class A drugs with intent to supply in Norwich has had his sentencing postponed to next month.
Jowayne Bonnie, from the London area, was charged with possession of a quantity of cocaine after police stopped a car on the A11 at Thickthorn last year.
Bonnie appeared in court in November via videolink from HMP Norwich where he admitted one count of possession of a controlled drug and another offence of possession of cannabis
Appearing in the Norwich Crown Court on Tuesday (February 27) for sentencing, the case was postponed until March 27 after Judge Andrew Shaw ordered that a pre-sentence report be prepared.
Judge Shaw further said he had represented two of Bonnie’s “former co-defendants” last year and told Bonnie that he did not think it right that he sentence him.
Bonnie was remanded in custody until his next appearance.
