A DRIVER was cut free from his car after it crashed into a hedgerow on a north Suffolk road.
The emergency services were called out following the single-vehicle smash, which happened in Walpole Lane, Walpole, near Halesworth, about 7.20pm last night (Friday).
The crash, which involved a blue Toyota Corolla, led to a 48-year-old man being taken to Ipswich Hospital with facial injuries, according to the ambulance service.
Three fire crews - from Halesworth, Stradbroke and Lowestoft - were all called to the scene to help free the man. A Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said that 'one male casualty' was 'removed from the vehicle' at 8.20pm.
