A man was taken to hospital after falling from a bridge down a river bank.
The incident happened on the Foundry Bridge close to the Compleat Angler pub in Prince of Wales Road at around 9.10pm on Saturday.
Ambulance crews were called after initial reports that a middle-aged man had suffered head injuries after jumping off the bridge. Witnesses had also suggested the man had fallen down the embankment on to a boat after a fracas, and an incident involving a glass. Police were also called to the scene. The man was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further treatment.
