Three fire crews were called after a car flipped onto its roof in Oulton.
Emergency services were called just before 10pm on Sunday evening to the single vehicle collision on the B1375 close to where Oulton Street meets Parkhill.
A man in his 40s was trapped in his car – a Mitsubishi Carisma – and had to be cut free by firefighters.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: 'A rapid response vehicle, ambulance crew, and ambulance officer were dispatched and treated a man in his 40s for back injuries.
'He is not thought to have sustained any life threatening injuries.'
The man was taken to the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston for further treatment.
The road was closed until the vehicle had been recovered – shortly after midnight.
