Emergency services were called to Belton this morning to reports that a car had left the road.
Police, the ambulance service and two appliances from the fire service attended the scene, on New Road, at around 9.20am. It was found that one car had gone off the road and into a field.
Fire crews released one person - the male driver of the car - using hydraulic resuce equipment and they also made the scene and vehicle safe.
The driver was taken to James Paget Hospital for treatment, his condition is currently unknown.
