Part of the A47 was closed this morning after a car went into the central reservation.
Police were called just after 7am to reports of a collision on the A47 between Wisbech and King's Lynn involving a Renault Megane.
Part of the road was closed to allow the air ambulance to land. It has now reopened.
An East of England ambulance spokesman said: 'We received a call today at 7am to reports of an RTC on the A47 to which we sent two ambulances, an ambulance officer, BASICS Doctor, and air ambulance from the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) charity.
'At the scene a man, believed to be in his 50s, was treated for a head injury and taken to Queen Eliizabeth Hospital via land ambulance for further care.'
