A man remains in police custody after eight hour stand-off in a Norwich street.
After lengthy negotiations, the man in his 40s left the bungalow in Argyle Street voluntarily at around 4.25pm on Sunday and was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
Firearms officers, with shields and helmets, helped bring the situation to a close, but did not need to enter the property.
Police had been at the scene since just before 8.30am after a man armed with a knife was behaving in a threatening manner.
The distressed man then locked himself in a bungalow and police brought in negotiators. Nobody else was in the property. A knife and other bladed weapons were recovered from the property.
A police spokesman said the man remains in custody.
