Man rescued after fall from roof

Firefighters were today involved in an unusual rescue after a man fell 12ft from a shop roof in Lynn.The accident happened at around noon and it is understood the man had fallen between a small gap between the BHS and Vision Express buildings in the town centre.

Firefighters were today involved in an unusual rescue after a man fell 12ft from a shop roof in Lynn.

The accident happened at around noon and it is understood the man had fallen between a small gap between the BHS and Vision Express buildings in the town centre.

Paramedics entered the gap using ladders in order to treat the man and firefighters used rescue equipment and the aerial ladder to lift him out.

The extent of the man's injuries is not known at this stage, but he is understood to have been taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

Further information is expected to be released later today.
