Emergency services were searching for a man that went missing in a rowing boat over night last night.
Concerns were raised about the safety of the man in his 60s, who was spotted in the river near Yarmouth Road, in Thorpe St Andrew, at around 11.55pm.
The police and fire crews from Carrow and Sprowston found the man in the area of The Buck Inn at 1am.
He was pulled to the side of the river and out of the boat on to the bank by firefighters.
An ambulance, rapid response vehicle and response crew from the East Anglian Air Ambulance were called at 1.22am.
The man was conscious and breathing, but not alert.
He was taken to hospital with a stomach injury and was in a stable condition.
