A man suffered cuts and bruises after falling off the seawall in Lowestoft and onto the rocks below.
Police, the East of England Ambulance Service and seven coastguard rescue officers from HM Coastguard Lowestoft and Southwold were called to the Children's Corner beach area in Lowestoft at 6.02pm last night (Monday).
A spokesman for the coastguards said they attended following reports that a man had been sitting on the seawall, when he 'fell backwards' and landed on the rocks below.
Initial reports were that the casualty was 'having a fit on the rocks,' but on arrival the paramedics found that the man's injuries were not as severe as first thought.
The coastguards spokesman added: 'The man had fallen backwards and sustained some cuts and bruises, but he was able to walk to the ambulance to be checked over.'
