A 27 year-old man appeared in court charged with the manslaughter of Alan Jewitt, who died after he was assaulted near Chicago's nightclub in Prince of Wales Road in the early hours of Friday morning.
Romanian Ion Lacatus, from Kettlebaston Road, Leyton, London, who had the help of an interpreteur in court, is charged with the manslaughter of 43 year-old Mr Jewitt who lived at Gertrude Road, in Norwich.
It follows an incident in Prince of Wales Road, in the early hours of Friday, August 12, when police were called to Chicago's nightclub around 2.25am following reports of a man being assaulted outside the venue.
No plea was taken and the case was adjourned for a further hearing on October 7.
