A suicidal man was pulled off Haven Bridge by police in front of worried onlookers today.
The man, in his 30s, spent about half-an-hour kneeling on a ledge on the bridge overhanging the fast-flowing currents.
But at 9.10am he was distracted by the arrival of the Gorleston lifeboat crew and police officers were able to lift him over the bridge and take him to safety.
