Man held after two-hour siege

A man was arrested tonight after a two-hour siege which blocked off a residential street in Cromer.

A man was arrested tonight after a two-hour siege which blocked off a residential street in Cromer.

A police helicopter was scrambled just after 5pm and hovered over the town for more than an hour as armed police, trained dogs and paramedics surrounded an address in Cabbell Road.

The man, believed to be married with children, was arrested and taken away at about 7.20pm after spending about two hours on his flat's balcony shouting.
