A 46-year-old man is due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court today charged with a burglary at a home in Lowestoft two days before Christmas.

Spencer Gooch of High Street, Lowestoft, was arrested on the evening of Wednesday, December 23, following the burglary at a home in Corton Road earlier in the day.

He was taken into custody where he was interviewed in connection with the incident where food products, cosmetics, alcohol and a bag were stolen.

He was then charged and held in custody pending a court hearing before Norwich magistrates on Boxing Day morning.

He was then bailed by the court to appear at Ipswich Crown today.
