A man died and another is fighting for his life after a crash in Clenchwarton, near King's Lynn last night.
The two-vehicle collision between a blue Renault Clio and a red Peugeot 406 happened at about 10.15pm on the A17 approximately half a mile west of the junction with the Pullover roundabout.
The emergency services and a Magpas helicopter raced to the scene and firefighters from King's Lynn and Terrington St Clement rescued three people who were trapped in the cars.
A male was confirmed dead at the scene with a second man, believed to be in his 20s, suffering serious head, chest, pelvis and limb injuries.
The Magpas Helimedix team treated the unconscious patient at the scene before he was taken by land ambulance to Addenbrooke's Hospital, in Cambridge, where his condition is described as life-threatening.
