Detectives were today investigating the death of a man in a suspected stabbing incident at a Wisbech pub.

Police were called to the Wisbech Arms in Exchange Square at about 11.40pm yesterday following reports of a disturbance.

They found the body of a local man, who is believed to have been stabbed.

A second man and a woman, also from Wisbech, were treated for minor injuries.

Officers are trying to trace two men seen leaving the pub afterwards.

They are described as white, in their late thirties, clean shaven, about 5ft 6in tall and with dark hair.

The men, who were wearing jeans and T-shirts, are thought to have headed towards the town centre.

The pub and the surrounding area remained cordoned off today while forensic specialists carried out examinations.

Witnesses are asked to contact police on 0845 456 4564 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
