A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Yarmouth man Alan Bowles.

Paul Slack, 46, of no fixed address but from the Yarmouth area, was brought before Norwich magistrates on Saturday morning and was remanded in custody to appear at Norwich Crown Court at a later date.

The body of grandfather-of-three Mr Bowles, 64, was found in a house, in Yarmouth Way, Yarmouth, just before 5pm on Monday.

In a statement, his family described him as a “happy-go-lucky man” who would be sadly missed.

Two other people arrested in connection with the investigation - a 57-year-old woman and a man aged 39 - have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
