A 21-year-old man is due to appear in court charged with burglary.
Officers were called at about 9.15pm on Tuesday, January 31, to reports of a burglary at a licensed premises in White Lanes, Kessingland.
Joseph Haskins, of High Street, Kessingland, was challenged by staff who detained him on suspicion of stealing a quantity of alcohol and police were called.
He was taken into custody at Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre where he was later charged with a number of offences, including burglary and two counts of assault.
He is due to appear before Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court this morning (Monday, April 3).
