Man charged with stealing jewellery

A man has been charged in connection with the theft of some jewellery in Diss.

Phillip Ellis, 37, of Ribblesdale Road in Birmingham, has been charged with theft from The Jewellery Workshop, in Market Place, Diss, following an incident at premises in the Market Place, Diss, shortly after 1pm on Saturday, September 9.

No-one was injured and the business remains open.

Ellis has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Norwich Magistrates' Court this morning (Wednesday, September 27).

The value of the goods that were stolen is not known.
