A man has been charged after an automatic sub machine gun and ammunition was seized in Great Yarmouth on Friday.
It comes after officers carried out a firearms warrant at a property in Marine Parade shortly after 7.30pm.
A weapon, believed to an automatic sub machine gun, and ammunition was seized from the address and two people, a man and woman, were arrested in connection with firearm and drug offences.
Soloman Oghene, 30, of Marine Parade, Great Yarmouth, was questioned by detectives and later charged with possession of a firearm, concerned in the supply of class A drugs in relation to cocaine and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence.
Oghene was remanded in custody at Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre to appear before the town's magistrates' court via video link this afternoon. The 30-year-old woman arrested in connection with the incident was also questioned and was released on bail until October 5 while enquiries continue.
