Man arrested on suspicion of criminal damage in Lowestoft

A 54-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage following an incident in Bevan Street East in Lowestoft.

Police were contacted at just after 1.30am this morning (March 17) to reports that someone appeared to be breaking into a building in Bevan Street East.

Upon arrival officers arrested the man at about 1.45am on suspicion of criminal damage.

He currently remains in custody where he is being interviewed in connection with the incident.
