A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving offences following a police pursuit in North Norfolk last night.

It follows an incident in Ludham when a vehicle travelling on School Road failed to stop for police resulting in a 15-minute pursuit around Ludham and Catfield before the driver stopped and abandoned the vehicle, fleeing the scene.

Further enquiries, with assistance from the dog unit, resulted in a man being arrested at an address in Ludham on suspicion of driving while disqualified, drink driving, failing to stop when directed and dangerous driving.

The man remains in custody at Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre.
