Man arrested after drugs, cash and weapons found in Lowestoft police raid

A 55-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply after police raided an address in Lowestoft.

Officers recovered more than 200 tablets – believed to be Ecstasy - along with scales and a quantity of cash after they 'executed a warrant' at an address in Alma Road about 5.25pm yesterday (Monday, October 3).

The 55-year-old man was detained and taken into custody at Lowestoft police station where he was also arrested on suspicion of possession of prohibited weapons – a rifle and CS spray - that were found during the search.

The man was interviewed by officers before being bailed to return to police on December 16, pending further enquiries.
