A man was airlifted to hospital after becoming unwell at a Norfolk nature reserve.
Humber Coastguard said they received a call from the East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST) at about 11.20am on Sunday (September 30) “regarding a casualty who was unwell at Titchwell Marsh nature reserve”.
A spokesman for Humber Coastguard said: “We sent our coastguard teams from Wells and Hunstanton to see if they could assist in taking the casualty off.” But they were unable to and it was “deemed necessary” to scramble the coastguard service’s search and rescue helicopter which took the patient from Titchwell Marsh nature reserve to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH).
The patient got to hospital about 1pm although the spokesman said they were not able to discolse any more details about the incident.
