Man, 60, assaulted in Fakenham park

A 60-year-old man was assaulted by four people as he took an evening stroll through the Millennium Park at Fakenham.

The incident happened in the park, on Queen's Road, just before 9pm on Monday and the man, who has not been named by police, was taken to hospital but released after treatment.

Four local people were arrested in connection with the incident and three have been charged with common assault. They are a 25-year-old man, a 17-year-old woman and a 16-year-old youth and they have all been bailed to appear before magistrates at King's Lynn on October 23. No further action was taken against the fourth person.
