Former Norwich City striker Robert Earnshaw will be brought home from Israel if he feels he is in danger, his current club Cardiff City have said.

As tensions in the country rose even higher yesterday following an explosion on a bus in Tel Aviv, where Earnshaw is currently living, that saw 21 people injured.

Over 100 people have now been killed in the conflict, as Israel continues to bombard the Gaza Strip.

Former Norwich skipper Malky Mackay, now manager of Cardiff, said Earnshaw's season-long loan at Maccabi Tel Aviv will be cancelled if necessary.

He said: 'If there's any risk to his safety or security whatsoever then he comes back. We've been monitoring things and if he feels at all like there's the possibility he's beginning to feel unsafe or he doesn't want to be there then he immediately comes back.

'There's absolutely no issue with it, he's my player and we want his safety and to make sure he's well looked after.'
