It is something that supposedly only happens to one in every 25 million eggs, but this Norfolk chicken has already laid two eggs with triple yolks this month.
Lucky the pet chicken is a former battery hen which was rescued by Lauren Mayes and her son Toby in September last year.
She was just a day old when they took her back to their home in Corpusty but has since grown into tame -and very heavy hen.
Earlier this month, Toby, who is in year three at Corpusty Primary School, was shocked to discover Lucky - living up to her name - had laid an egg with a triple yolk.
She then laid another one just a week later.
Ms Mayes said: 'Toby loves wildlife and is always doing something involving animals. He has 15 pet chickens and a baby horsefield tortoise.'
You're more than twice as likely to become a millionaire playing the national lottery then to stumble across a triple-yolk egg.
