The iconic Olympic Torch will reach Waveney on July 5 - Lowestoft, Wrentham, Reydon and Southwold have all been confirmed as part of the 70-day UK relay.
Colin Law, leader of Waveney District Council, said: 'The announcement of the street level route brings all the excitement that little bit closer.
'July 5 will be a day to live long in the memory and our communities can now start making plans to celebrate the historic journey of the Olympic flame through Waveney.'
Bruce Provan, portfolio holder for leisure and tourism, added: 'I'm sure the people of Waveney will want to put on a great show for the watching millions. It would be fantastic to see the route packed with people who love their towns and villages and want to show how much this day means to them.'
Among the torchbearers in the Waveney region will be John Pawsey, chairman of the Active Waveney Sports Partnership and Waveney Gymnastics Club in Lowestoft, which he started in 1976.
Mr Pawsey has spent his lifetime encouraging communities to become actively involved in sport and has been a dedicated volunteer for many years. He has coached football teams and is captain of the Senior Golf Team at Rookery Park.
A Suffolk County Council spokesman said: 'John has been a dedicated volunteer in sport for many years and contributes and supports enormously all projects through his role of Chairman of Active Waveney, which aim to encourage participation and enjoyment of sport.
'Through his dedication John has inspired many thousands of youngsters into sport.'
The torch will arrive in Lowestoft on the A12 Yarmouth Road shortly before 10am, with its route taking in the High Street, Ness Point, London Road North, and Station Square.
It will arrive at the High Street, in Wrentham, at 11.05am and Lowestoft Road in Reydon at 11.22am.
In Southwold it will arrive at Mights Road at 11.26am and travel through North Parade and past the beach huts.
The torch will then continue on through other towns in Suffolk before reaching Ipswich.
