Lowestoft teenager charged with robbery and assault

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with two counts of robbery and one of assault occasioning ABH after two separate incidents in Lowestoft recently.

The 16-year-old has been charged with two counts of robbery after three other teenagers were threatened with a weapon and forced to hand over items in an incident at Hollingsworth Road on Sunday, January 29.

The assault charge relates to a separate incident on January 20 where a 15-year-old boy suffered facial injuries after he was assaulted in Yarmouth Road.

'The 16-year-old has been detained and is due to appear at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court this morning, Friday, February 10,' a police spokesman said.
