A Lowestoft man has been left reeling after a special treat at The Potter's Kiln in Lowestoft turned into a nightmare when he ordered the new boneless beef rib with sweet potato fries that left a sour taste in his mouth.
Paul Head was out for dinner at 5.30pm on Wednesday January 25 with his daughter, visiting from Scotland, and two-year-old grandson when he was presented a meal that looked nothing like the picture on the menu.
Whilst the restaurant's own photos show three mouth-watering ribs, drizzled in bourbon sauce made with Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey, Mr Head only received one pitiful rib.
In a complaint sent to the restaurant, with a photo attached of the unappetising meal, Paul said: Please find the photo of our meal which we believe was not presented satisfactory, the beans were spilt around the pot, the pineapple was not grilled and the chips thrown on the plate but all in all a very in appetising dish.'
Despite wanting to complain whilst in the restaurant, no one came round to their table as they were short staffed.

Mr Head said: ' I was shocked when my food arrived. My two-year-old grandson's meal of pasta and sweet potato fries looked much better.

After complaining on Wednesday night, Paul received a reply today from the restaurant offering a £10 voucher as 'a gesture of goodwill.'
The email said: 'I agree with you that the presentation is less than ideal on this occasion, and have spoken to our Kitchen Manager to ensure that correct specifications and presentation of dishes is adhered to more closely in future.
'It would be great if you'd give my team here a chance to show you that we can get it right and would like to offer you £10.00 as a gesture of goodwill to return.
'Our Guest Care team will issue a unique voucher code to you shortly via separate email. Simply present the code to a member of the team on arrival to redeem it.'But the couple have rejected the voucher as the boneless beef rib alone cost £12.49 and the whole meal £25.
They will donate any reimbursements from the restaurant to a homeless charity or foodbank in Lowestoft.
