A 26-year-old man is due to appear at Lowestoft magistrates court tomorrow (Tuesday, May 15), charged with seven offences - including burglary and taking a motor vehicle without consent - after an incident at a home in Heath Road in the town in January.
'Police were alerted to a burglary at the home on Monday, January 2,' a police spokesman said. 'Jewellery and cameras were among the items stolen from the property and a Toyota car had been taken from outside the address.'
The car was later stopped by police in Hopton and the 26-year-old was arrested.
During searches following his arrest officers discovered four cannabis plants being grown at an address in Burnham Way and recovered an unknown amount of Ecstasy tablets.
The police spokesman added: 'George Warren, 26, of Burnham Way in Lowestoft, has now been charged with burglary, taking a motor vehicle without consent, driving without a licence, driving without insurance, failing to answer bail, producing cannabis and possession of MDMA (Ecstasy) and is due to appear at court tomorrow.'
