Lowestoft man charged with possession of a large hunting-type knife

A 22-year-old Lowestoft man is due to appear at court on Monday charged with possession of a bladed article and possession of cannabis after police stopped a vehicle in the town.
Police stopped a Mercedes car in Katwijk Way about 12.10pm on March 31. A short time later a man was arrested nearby in Norwich Road, Lowestoft.
A police spokesman said: 'A large sheath knife and a small quantity of cannabis were recovered.'
Calam Gennery, 22, of Kirkley Cliff was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of an article with a blade or sharp point – a large hunting-type knife with sheath.
Gennery is now due to appear at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court on Monday, April 24.
