A Lowestoft man in his 60s was assaulted at his home in St Peter's Street between 5.30pm and 6pm yesterday.

The victim was outside his property when he noticed a man nearby with a Staffordshire bull terrier dog.

The dog tried to get into the property and the victim used his foot to block the doorway.

The man with the dog pushed the victim in the chest with both hands.

The man was white and was wearing a grey hoodie, blue shorts and carrying a light blue bag.
