Residents in a north Norfolk village are to have their say on a controversial scheme aimed at providing 34 affordable homes and flats.

A public meeting is being held on Monday when villages of Little Snoring, near Fakenham, will discuss the plans to build a mixed development of 34 affordable houses on a two acre site on the corner of Kettlestone Road and the main A148 road.

There is concern over the high number of homes for the site and its access so close to the main A148 road.

The site for the proposed scheme is an open field between two existing clusters of homes. The scheme would provide 10 three-bedroom homes, 12 two-bedroom homes and 12 two-bedroom flats.

Little Snoring Parish Council chairman, Tracey Reynolds, said that the meeting was being held to give residents a chance to have their say about the proposed scheme before the council submits its view to North Norfolk District Council planners.

The meeting is being held at the Greenman pub on the A148 road and starts at 8pm.
