Romance is in the air as Bride: The Wedding Show takes place today and tomorrow.

The show – which is in association with the Eastern Daily Press and sponsored by Pure Brides and Grooms – is the biggest in the region and has been attracting huge crowds of visitors. There are 150 exhibitors at the event covering every aspect of wedding planning as well a catwalk show featuring the latest bridalwear fashions and some classic fairy tale gowns.

Among the brides-to-be at the show today were friends Sophia Dearden, 26, and Kerry Chamberlain, 27, both from Thetford, who enjoyed looking at the amazing cakes by Vanilla Cake Design.

Kerry, who is to marry Tony Bartlett at Kilverstone Church in September 2017 followed by a reception at Thetford's Carnegie Room, said: 'I love coming to these events and just getting lots of ideas.'

Sophia, who is getting married to Robbie Chamberlain at Thetford Grammar School in June, said: 'I've been before and really enjoyed it. This time I have been looking for make-up and rings, the last few bits we have to get organised.'

Twenty-six-year-old Sarah Davies, from King's Lynn, was at the show with her mum Jill Davies, and they were enjoying looking at the wedding dresses on the Pure Brides and Grooms stand.

Sarah, who is to wed Joshua Ayres at Gayton Hall in July next year, said: 'The show is really helpful and good for inspiration. We were looking at wedding dress ideas, photographers, florists and cakes.'

Sarah Bunn, 46, from Costessey, was at the show with her daughter Ellie Bunn, sister Alison Dunne and niece Hannah Dunne, and among the things to catch her eye was the VW Campervan from The Vintage VW Experience.

Sarah, who is to marry Michael Cooper at Hunters Hall in Swanton Morley, said: 'The show was brilliant, really good for getting lots of ideas and it was good to be able to talk to people.'

The show is from 10am until 4pm today and tomorrow. Entry costs £10, £18 for two people and £32 for four people.
