Newlyweds have been left devastated after the only DVDs of their dream wedding in Mexico went missing during their reception in Norfolk.

Dereham couple Samantha and Stuart Hunt, 26 and 33, married in Mexico in May in a ceremony that Mrs Hunt described as “perfect in every way.”

Because many of their friends and family were unable to travel abroad with them, they shared the memories of their special day with loved ones at Hunter's Hall, Swanton Morley, on June 1.

The two DVDs of their ceremony were played on their laptop, a silver Acer TravelMate worth about £800, during the day in the marquee but when the couple went to collect them the next morning they had disappeared.

“We are just absolutely devastated. I cannot put into words how upset we are, said Mrs Hunt, acting manager of Dereham Day Nursery and whose husband is a project manager for a water company.

“Those DVDS are so special to us. We want to keep them forever. We would do anything to get them back.

“Mexico was amazing, just perfect in every way, and it was lovely to have the wedding video to look back on. We still have the memories but we wanted to keep the DVD for our children and grandchildren.

“We also had a wonderful time at Hunter's Hall and the staff there were brilliant but what has happened has spoiled it.”

Hunter's Hall owner John Carrick said: “We are all really upset it has gone missing and we have searched our place and questioned all the people who were on duty and we cannot believe it was stolen. We obviously hope it will turn up.”
