A lorry driver escaped injury after his vehicle came off the B1145 near Bawdeswell, five miles north of Dereham.
The road remains partially blocked near the junction with the A1067 Fakenham Road as police wait for a recovery team to remove the lorry.
Police said they were called to the scene just before 10am, and that a lorry had left the road and gone into a ditch. No other vehicles were involved.
A spokesman said police have remained at the site until it is cleared to avoid further accidents because it is near a significant bend.
She said the site should be cleared soon.
