A lorry caught fire on a single carriageway stretch of the A47 at Necton early this morning.
Fire crews from Dereham and Swaffham were called to the blaze at 1.27am, and used hose reel jets during the 20 minutes it took to extinguish it.
Neither the police or paramedics attended, and it is believed there were no casualties.
A fire service spokesman said there was no suggestion the fire was started deliberately.
