There are long queues in Great Yarmouth after a set of traffic lights failed earlier.

The lights near the Matalan store in Southtown Road were stuck on a stage which caused long queues as drivers were forced to wait.

Police were called to the scene at 12.08pm to divert traffic and were on the scene 12 minutes later.

Motorists have said they were stuck in traffic for over an hour on Southtown Road.

A spokesman for the Highways Department said the lights were stuck on a stage and were fixed remotely and should be working now.
