Vandals have defaced a Vote Leave sign in north Norfolk as the EU referendum draws nearer.

A Nazi swastika and the word 'racist' have been daubed on the placard in a field at the side of the road between Alysham and Buxton.

Commenting on the graffiti on Twitter, Wayne Neale said: 'Disgraceful defacement of #VoteLeave sign on the Aylsham to Buxton road - swastika and 'Nazi' sprayed on.'

Police said they were unable to confirm whether the incident had been reported to them.
