Council services will be affected tomorrow because of trade union strike action.

The industrial action has been called by Unison over a pay cap of 1pc for public sector workers, introduced by the government in 2012.

Members of the National Union of Teachers and the GMB trade union are also taking part tomorrow. Health workers are not on strike.

Simon Case, lead convenor for the Norfolk Unison branch, said there would be a picket line at the North Norfolk District Council office on Holt Road, Cromer, and people would notice a significant reduction of council services.

The council development committee meeting, due to be held tomorrow, has been called off because of the strike.
