Town council vacancies at Cromer and Holt will be filled by elections in September.

At Cromer the empty seats follow the death of long-serving councillor Vera Woodcock, and move away from the area, for business reasons, of Scott Eastwood.

They both represented the Suffield Park ward.

At Holt the vacancy results from the resignation of Barrie Roberts.

Elections will be held following calls from 10 electors.

If contested, the polling day for both towns will be on Thursday September 19.

Anyone wanting to stand has until noon on August 22 to lodge their forms with North Norfolk District Council's electoral services department.
