Just over £1m looks set to be spent on seven Norwich projects, including cycle and walking routes.
Norwich City Council's cabinet last night approved the schemes to get money from the Community Infrastructure Levy - a planning charge on developers.
The money goes into a pot, shared between projects in Norwich, Broadland and South Norfolk.
Projects for Norwich include £560,000 over two years to improve the green pedalway - a cycle route between Easton and Broadland Business Park and £170,000 for the purple pedalway - between the Yare and Wensum Valley.
Other schemes include a boardwalk extension on the Yare Valley Walk between the UEA and Eaton/Cringleford and improvements to libraries in Earlham and Mile Cross.
The final decision on how the money is spent rests with the Greater Norwich Growth Board.
