Mid Norfolk Green Party candidate Tim Birt certainly practised what he preaches as he got on his bike to get to the polling station today.
He toured the constituency during the morning in his Land Rover Defender - powered by vegetable oil he is quick to stress - before heading back to Toftwood and getting on his two wheels to cast his vote.
'My daughter is quite enthusiastic and last night she made her own Green Party flag with the 'Fair is worth fighting 4' message. I should say there was no prompting from me, she just presented it! This morning we were quite early and she asked to stand on the bonnet of my vegetable oil powered Land Rover Defender to wave the flag. It seems to have gone down well, plenty of smiles all round.'
