General election campaigns are invariably filled with bold declarations, sweeping arguments, stinging attacks and flippant faux pas.
And the build-up to the snap general election on June 8 has been no different, with politicians of every stripe keen to dish out their share of verbal volleys.
In no particular order, here is a look back at nine of the most memorable spiels so far in the campaign.
1. 'I will not take anything for granted and neither will the team I lead, because there is too much at stake. The reality is that today, despite the evident will of the British people, we have bureaucrats in Europe who are questioning our resolve to get the right deal.' Prime minister Theresa May
