Planning permission has been granted for a new solar farm at North Walsham
A new solar farm will be adding to north Norfolk's renewable energy mix.
The scheme on the edge of North Walsham was given the green light last week.
Covering 36 acres of land belonging to Wayside Farm, off Skeyton Road it is expected to generate enough electricity to power more than 1,300 homes each year.
North Norfolk District Council Development Committee members unanimously supported the application on Thursday. Managed by Yingli Solar, it is set to be the fourth solar farm close to North Walsham. Construction is expected to take two months.
