An extension to North Walsham's Lidl supermarket would not be harmful to the town centre or neighbours, planning councillors will be told.
The store wants to build front and rear extensions at the Yarmouth Road store, to increase the sales area as well as house storage, office, preparation and freezer facilities.
Objections to the scheme, include a petition from five people in nearby Farman Avenue, and three other letters raising concerns including; noise disturbance, parking, impact on nearby homes, and white and grey render buildings being out of character.
A report to North Norfolk District Council planning committee tomorrow, Thursday, says the sales floor increase by 249sq m to 1,056sq m - with anecdotal evidence of customers also walking into the town due to a 90-minute free parking - would contribute 'positively' towards the vital of the town centre.
Officers also do not think the extensions would significantly harm the amenity of local residents.
They are recommending approval subject to conditions over fencing, hedging, time limits for deliveries and store openings, and provision of cycle parking.
