Councillors will 'do it properly' and pay for polling cards for a looming by-election.
At Monday's meeting, Cromer town councillors heard that members of the public had called for the poll to choose the successor to Kate Royall, who resigned last month.
In recent years, seats have been filled by co-option, and members heard that it would cost £344.16 to pay for polling cards - if the members chose to provide them.
New town mayor David Pritchard was concerned about the cost, and felt that co-option would have been the best way forward.
But he was the only dissenter, with all the councillors agreeing to pay for the cards. Greg Hayman said: 'I think we should do it properly.'
