Plans to demolish a former print works and build 16 flats will be discussed in a meeting today.

Developer Waterfield Dudley want to redevelop the Witley Press site in Hunstanton with a two and three-storey block of 15 two-bed and one single bed homes.

A report to West Norfolk council's planning committee states the plans received 10 objections.

It adds: 'It is acknowledged in relation to the neighbours opposite the site, that they will notice the new buildings being significantly taller than what currently exists.

'However the scale of these new buildings are not considered to cause detrimental overshadowing, overlooking or overbearing issues given the 14m separation distance between the proposed buildings and these neighbours.'

The report also states the flats on nearby Greevegate will experience some overshadowing.

Planning committee councillors are being recommended to approve the plans when they meet at King's Lynn Town Hall today at 9.30am.
