A change in the way the north Norfolk coast is managed has been approved by councillors at a meeting of the full council.
A new integrated approach to coastal management will be adopted by North Norfolk District Council - as discussed at tonight's meeting.
Around 65,000 of leftover money from a European Pathfinder coastal help scheme, receipts including the Coastal Erosion Assistance Grant of 60,000 and any income from the Pathfinder replacement housing will be put towards the cost.
This money will be used to fund specific coastal projects and resources - including a coastal issues forum which would involve communities with sea frontages to help to move the scheme forward.
Angie Fitch-Tillett, NNDC cabinet member for the coast, said: 'We need to take a pro-active approach in respect to the coast.'
